Project GATE in North Carolina is design to help rural, laid off workers start or expand their own business. GATE - or Growing America Through Entrepreneurship - is a national demonstration program of the U.S. Department of Labor. It's being offered in North Carolina through a partnership with several state agencies. Participants will recieve special training and other assitance.
