Project GATE in North Carolina is design to help rural, laid off workers start or expand their own business. GATE - or Growing America Through Entrepreneurship - is a national demonstration program of the U.S. Department of Labor. It's being offered in North Carolina through a partnership with several state agencies. Participants will recieve special training and other assitance.

Good Work primarily serves the Triangle area, offering assitance in English and Spanish.

NC REAL is a web-based business operations modules online. Courses designed by NC REAL are available for enrollment at many community colleges across the state.

North Carolina Indian Economic Development Initiative works statewide for American Indians, based in Fayetteville.

North Carolina Institute for Minority Economic Development, Women's Business Center, and Minorty Business Enterprise Center, based in Durham.
