Organizational Statement
The citizens, in conjunction with the Town, established the Lillington Volunteer Fire Department in 1917 to provide the citizens with an organized fire suppression effort. Since that time the department has evolved into a public service agency. The primary function of the Department is fire suppression. Fire prevention through public education, non-transport emergency medical response, rescue, maintaining and improving our insurance rating of “5” are the secondary functions. The Department will assist any other agency inside or out of the Town limits when called upon with any available resources. Read more
